The women's Jones Howler Snowboard is a next-generation freeride board built for steep technical terrain that feels almost otherworldly — like chasing lines under a full moon. Co-designed with Victor de Le Rue and Elena Hight, it transforms big mountain riding into something more fluid and controlled. A tapered directional shape keeps the ride floaty in deep snow, while powerful edge grip and stability deliver the confidence to stomp landings and hold firm on exposed lines. It's a serious freeride board with a kind of magic 0 —made for riders who wouldn't mind the day lasting a little longer under moonlit skies, still howling at the end of each run.

Rocker Type:

High Power Camber: Tip-to-tail full camber profile with a high camber along the effective edge for unmatched pop. The camber profile rises towards the tail and extends to the back binding for increased stomping power on the back foot.

Forever Flex: Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilize the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.

Shape:

Directional Shape: A directional snowboard is designed to ride primarily forward. It features a longer, wider nose, a shorter tail and a stance set back toward the tail, sometimes with added taper. This shape delivers excellent stability, smooth turn initiation and strong float in softer snow, making it a favorite for freeride terrain and carving.

3D Flip Tips: Enhances float and grip while reducing tip catch in rough terrain.

Blunt Nose: "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep is dictated by it's front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the 'snow plow' rounded tip and it's extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones

Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Core:

Koroyd® Core: Award-winning engineered core developed from the aerospace industry. Koroyd is the lightest, most advanced damping core material Jones has ever tested. Koroyd absorbs vibrations and adds response at a fraction of the weight which enhances control and confidence.

Power Core: Triple-density full wood core featuring hardwood bamboo stringers for added pop and durability plus paulownia for weight savings.

Laminates:

Biax Fiberglass: A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.

BComp Carbon Flax Stringers: Bcomp Carbon / Flax stringers offer the perfect performance balance as the carbon provides crazy pop and the flax sucks up chatter and reduces CO₂ emissions compared to a full carbon stringer. Developed in collaboration with the Swiss engineering firm Bcomp.

Sidewalls:

Recycled ABS: ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.

Base:

Sintered 8000 Base: Premium sintered base material that’s ultra fast, highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and proven to be one of the most durable and long lasting base materials in the industry.

Edges:

Recycled Edges: Bombproof edges made to be the strongest and longest-lasting on the market.

Medium Traction Tech: Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Topsheet:

Premium Eco Topsheet: Durable and scratch resistant bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans that's engineered to provide exceptional abrasion and impact resistance while minimizing environmental impact.

Additional Features:

Durabond Bio-Epoxy [27]: A bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon that reduces CO₂ emissions by 33% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxy. Sourced from plant-based industrial by-products, its unmatched bonding properties deliver industry leading durability and performance.

Factory Tuned: All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

Wend Natural Wax: Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
