Every map has an edge, and the Jones Frontier 2.0 Snowboard was built for everything past it. Where the Flagship commands the mountain, the Frontier explores it — a tapered directional shape and friendly flex that float through powder, slash through trees, and stay loose enough to find whatever the mountain hides around the next corner. A sustainably sourced paulownia and poplar Master Core keeps it lively without being demanding, the camber-dominant rocker profile holds an edge when you need it and releases when you don't, and a short sidecut makes turns quick and intuitive in tight spaces. Built on durabond bio-based epoxy that cuts greenhouse gas emissions by a third compared to conventional boards, Jones didn't just design a board for exploring wild places. They built it to make sure those places stick around.

Rocker Type:

Directional Camber/Rocker: A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.

Forever Flex: Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilize the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.

Shape:

Medium 3D Contour Base: Freeride-focused 3D Contour Base featuring a spoon bevel in the nose and in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.

Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Low Tapered Shape: The difference between the nose width and the tail width. More taper makes the board float easier and feel more surfy in powder.

3D Flip Tips: Enhances float and grip while reducing tip catch in rough terrain.

Core:

Master Core: Dual density wood core made out of responsibly harvested Paulownia and Poplar. 1:1 Paulownia to Poplar stringer ratio creates a lightweight core that’s poppy and durable.

100% Responsibly Sourced Woodcores: All Jones woodcores are made with responsibly sourced wood. Every piece of wood we use in every board comes from a responsibly managed forest.

Laminates:

Biax Fiberglass: A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.

Sidewalls:

Recycled ABS: ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.

Base:

Sintered 8000 Base: Premium sintered base material that’s ultra fast, highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and proven to be one of the most durable and long lasting base materials in the industry.

Edges:

Recycled Edges: Bombproof edges made to be the strongest and longest-lasting on the market.

Medium Traction Tech: Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Topsheet:

Premium Topsheet: Durable and scratch resistant premium topsheet engineered to endure rigorous daily use in extreme conditions.

Additional Features:

Durabond Bio-Epoxy [27]: A bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon that reduces CO₂ emissions by 33% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxy. Sourced from plant-based industrial by-products, its unmatched bonding properties deliver industry leading durability and performance.

Factory Tuned: All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
