The Bataleon Thunderstorm Snowboard is built with powder in mind, but it's just as much fun when the storm doesn't deliver. On a bluebird day with nothing but firm groomers, it's just as happy carving up the mountain or taking a few laps through the park as it is floating through fresh snow on a big dump day. That versatility is exactly why the Thunderstorm has a way of turning people into Bataleon lifers almost immediately. It's the kind of board that adapts to whatever condition the mountain throws at it, so you can stop checking the snow report and just go ride.

Rocker Type:

Low Camber: Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail.

Flex:

Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Shape:

3D Directional: Nose is slightly longer than the tail with a set-back stance. 3D directional technology has a lifted base in the nose and tail to improve float.

3BT Triple Base Technology: Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The center base remains flat, while the nose and tail curve upward. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.

SideKick™: By increasing the sidebase uplift just beyond the widest points of the nose and tail, SideKick™ gives the tips of the snowboard a hull-like shape, improving float in deep snow and enabling the board to roll smoothly and quickly from edge to edge.

Core:

Ultra Light Core: A 70/30 Paulownia and Poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

Laminates:

Tri-Ax Laminate: Bataleon's three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. It is used to beef up the flex pattern on more aggressive boards.

Carbon Stringers: Carbon is incredibly lightweight and delivers explosive pop, quick edge response, and exceptional dampening at high speeds. By incorporating carbon fiber stringers into the board’s construction, we can fine-tune the flex and elevate your ride to the next level. Bataleon strategically place carbon stringers in specific areas of the board to fine-tune the feel of each model.

D.S.T. Super Tubes: Dual carbon Super Tubes place a Super Tube on each side of the board to enhance pop and give the camber more snap.

Base:

Ultra Glide S: Premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for Bataleon's high-end models.

Additional Features:

Step Down Rails: This topsheet 3D effect features a slight taper of the deck along the top of the sidewall. This reduces the top-profile, saving weight and adding more precision to your carves.
